DT Creative Scrappers - sketch #252

Are you ready for a new sketch? We're having a great one for you at Creative Scrappers!

Instead of 4 photos I used 4 journaling cards, but other than that I took the sketch quite literally. I used Echo Park Here & Now. Besides the bright colors, this collection also has a beautiful grey tone in it that fits this photo perfectly. This photo is taken at the zoo at Phiene's favorite spot with Ollie (that's how we call Ellie in Dutch).

Echo Park Here & Now: Feathers paper, Flower Patch paper, Flower Buds paper, Dots paper, Teal/Green paper, Rainbow Chevrons paper, Cameras paper, Chalkboard Quotes paper, 3x4 Journaling Cards, 4x6 Journaling Cards, Alpha Stickers.
Skipping5: Puffy stickers
Studio Calico: cork arrows

Check out the Creative Scrappers blog to see what my super talented fellow team members made with this sketch and I can't wait to see what you'll make!

Thanks for stopping by and have a wonderful Sunday!

DT Cre8tive Cre8tions - Suess Landing

I'm going to share my last project made for Cre8tive Cre8tions. Andrea has let us know that she will still continue her shop with flair buttons but that she's also very busy with her other businesses, so there will be no DT anymore. I've had a great time working with her flair buttons and want to thank Andrea for having me on the team!

On this layout I used 2 flairs from the Travel set, along with Carta Bella Hello Again from the Scraptastic August kit. The layout is about my favorite part of Universal Studios: Seuss Landing. I love everything Dr. Seuss, it makes me feel being a child again when I walk around there and it reminds me of the books I read as a kid.

Cre8tive Cre8tions: Flair buttons Travel set
Carta Bella Hello Again: Hello Chevron paper, Words paper, Chit Chat paper, Journaling Cards
Studio Calico: Cork Arrows, Sequins
Fancy Pants: Label stickers
Jillibean Soup: Alphabeans Blueberry Teal

DT Life.Paper.Scrapbook. - Color challenge

The new color challenge of Life.Paper.Scrapbook. is up!

When I saw these colors, I immediately thought about the Simple Stories I {heart} Summer and I was glad I had a little left from this super fun and bright collection! Because of the fun flip flop prints and embellishments I decided to make a layout about my very favorite pair of flip flops. Unfortunately we don't have the weather to walk on flip flops all year long, otherwise I would probably never wear shoes or boots!

Simple Stories I {heart} Summer: Red Boardwalk paper, Teal Boardwalk paper, 3x4 Journaling Cards, Bingo Cards, Fundamentals Cardstock stickers, Decorative Brads.
Jenni Bowlin Red Skinny Alpha
Pink Paislee Portfolio clear stamp set

Hop over to the Life.Paper.Scrapbook. blog to see what my fellow team members made with this color challenge and I hope you'll play along too!

Thanks for stopping by and enjoy the weekend!

I'm so excited to share with you today my very first layout as a DT member of Creative Scrappers! We have this awesome sketch for you with some fun circle elements.

DT Paper Issues - Put some twine on it!

Did you check out the current issue at Paper Issues? It's all about twine this time and we're sponsored by The Twinery!

For this layout I used the Elle's Studio Serendipity collection, because it went so well with the colors of twine I had laying around. This family photo is taken during our family vacation in 2011 at the Kennedy Space Center in Florida. We don't have that many family photos, so this one is very special to me.

Elle's Studio Serendipity: Treasure paper, Chevron paper, Flowers paper, Cherish paper, Tabs, Cutouts, Pennants, Large & Medium Tags, Circle Tags, Tiny Tags, Tidbits, Little Snippets Labels.
Elle's Studio Cameron: clear stampset
The Twinery: teal and grey twine
Jillibean Soup: Alphabeans Blueberry Teal

If you're in need of twine, you can find all of your favorite colors in the Paper Issues store overhere. Dont's forget to use my code DANIELLE20 for 20% off your order!
Now show us what you can do with twine and link up your projects at Paper Issues for your chance to win a fabulous twine prize pack.

DT Practical Scrappers - Gesso / modeling paste

It's all about gesso and modeling paste at Practical Scrappers today. I used this new Heidi Swapp stencil and applied some thick layers of modeling paste to create a rough look.

After the modeling paste dried, I softly touched the hearts with some PanPastel to give them just a little touch of color. I used the papers and embellishments from the Amy Tangerine Yes, Please collection.

These photos were taken last week when I went shopping with Phiene. Sometimes I feel sad how fast she's growing up, but on the other hand do I really enjoy how she is discovering this world. First we went to Desigual and I loved to watch her searching through the clothes. Her eye fell on a handbag though and she told me that it maybe was time for her to have a real handbag...and just because I'm weak and because girls have an auntie to get spoiled by, I told her that she could have it. That twinkle in her eyes was priceless!
Proudly walking through the city center with her brand new handbag, she noticed the Sephora store and wanted to go in and started to ask questions. All I said was that she could try some stuff, we all know that make up is so very interesting to girls of that age. First she started carefully, but within a minute she went all crazy with the lipsticks and blusher and laughed out loud when she looked in the mirror. I just love these afternoons with her when we simply have fun. The only problem was to get her face make up free before we walked out the store...

Amy Tangerine Yes, Please: Consistent paper, 6x6 paper pad, Wood veneer tags, Remarks Genuine dimensional stickers, Clear stamp set, Remarks Baxter transparent letter stickers, clothes pin
Heidi Swapp: heart cluster stencil
Liquitex modeling paste
PanPastel 340.5 Permanent Red
