It's time for a new issue at Paper Issues: You're sew cute, you keep me in stitches. This issue is sponsored by May Arts and there are 4 rolls of their fabulous ribbon to win if you link up your projects. We love to see what you create!!

I'm a handstitcher and I love to add some stitches to my pages. This time I went a little crazy and stitched my butt off on my layout. I used the Fancy Pants journaling cards and created a stitched background with them.

Clique Kits - Chalkboard Clipboard

Hi everyone, I'm up today with a quick and easy project. In September's kit from Clique Kits there was a bottle of chalkboard paint and I just had to play with it.

I took a plain old clipboard and started painting it in a bright pink color. When that first layer was dry, I placed the word 'memo' with the Hazel & Ruby Brooklyn alpha masks in place and started painting the clipboard with the chalkboard paint. For the best result it needs a second layer of paint an hour after the first one. After the second layer I took the masks off and gave it a 24 hour dry. I finished the clipboard with a strip of washi tape and some silver stars.

Clique Kits - Pep Rally September Study Abroad

Welcome to the Clique Kits September Blog Share! You should have arrived here from Rosann, if not you can start your blog tour overhere at the Clique Kits blog.

This month's blog share, featuring the Study Abroad kit, is all about Be Daring. I took that challenge to scrapbooking and my huge dare is making cards. It's just something I would love to do more often, but I end up never being happy with the result, especially when I see the work of some very talented card makers.

For this card I started out with one of the 3x4 Flash Cards that Ashley from The Cut Shoppe designed for this kit. This card was going to be a birthday card for my niece who turned 5 years old two days ago, so I wanted to highlight the number 5 with gold embossing powder. I backed the flash card with the Crate Paper vellum and covered the edges with the Pinkfresh Studio glitter washi tape. The pink strips of paper are from the Dear Lizzy paper and the black alpha is from Sodalicious that can be found in the Clique Kits School Store. I placed the whole cluster on a piece of the Dear Lizzy paper and tucked in one of the Maya Road shipping tags.

Here's your hop order for today, be sure to stop by all the blogs for your chance to win!

DT The Cut Shoppe - Arcade Fun

Hello everyone! Today I'm sharing a layout made for The Cut Shoppe and because we're teaming up with Clique Kits I decided to use the September Study Abroad kit for my layout.

I started the design of my layout with the Right on Target cut file for my background and randomly placed the three pictures over it. The three pictures became clusters with the Crate Paper vellum and paper. Also I added an enamel frame from Pinkfresh Studio, backed with the Pinkfresh Studio glitter washi tape, tucked in each cluster. I filled up the open spaces of the target with the sequins and stars that came with this kit. The 'Go', 'Here' and 'Love' cut files are from the Going Geo and Notebook Doodles cut files.

DT The Cut Shoppe - The Wonder of It All

I have a new layout to share today for The Cut Shoppe. This time I used the Borderlines Too and Around The World cut files. All papers and embellishments are from the Dear Lizzy  Day Dreamer collection.

I picked one of my favorite pictures from our Canyon road trip last year. We cycled along the south rim of the Grand Canyon, which was a 21 mile ride. Even though it was a tough ride with all the elevation, I would totally do it again! It was the most amazing bike ride ever.

Clique Kits - Leaving on a jet plane

Today I'm sharing my first layout created with the Clique Kits Study Abroad September kit. Clique Kits is teaming up this month with The Cut Shoppe and this is one awesome combination. Ashley designed some fabulous cut files that go perfectly with this month's kit.

I love the strong blue colors in this picture I took during a flight and they worked so well with the papers in the kit. These papers are from Studio Tekturek, which was a new company for me. I loved playing with the bright colors and wonderful designs!

The This Way background and Here There Everywhere cut files are from The Cut Shoppe, designed for this kit. And don't you just love this yellow alpha from Jillibean Soup? It's available in the Clique Kits School Store where you can find extra matching-to-your-kit goodies each month.

My fave beaches

Hi everyone! When I started scrapbooking, back in 2004, all my layouts were double pages. I simply thought that it looked prettier in my albums. All of a sudden there was a turning point and I never ever made a double pager again. Last week I thought it was fun to try a double pager again and oh boy, I was struggling with it. It was so hard to come up with a design and I forgot how much work it was.

Luckily there are always some awesome cut files from The Cut Shoppe that come to the rescue! So I went for the Centered Chevrons cut file to create my backgrounds and this was a good opportunity to use up my scraps from the Basic Grey Highline collection. I also added two buttons from A Flair for Buttons. I think in the end my double pager turned out fine, but it's not very likely you will see another double pager by me again soon ;-)
