DT Clique Kits - Just a Little Jaunt

Today I'm sharing a layout made with the Clique Kits November Homecoming kit. This kit is jam packed, you can find the complete Lemon Owl Weekend Trip collection in it! If that's not enough already, it also contains some Webster's Pages papers, Studio Calico Gold Foil vellum, watercolor paper and embellishments from Freckled Fawn, Pretty Little Studio, and Pinkfresh Studio.

For my layout today I got inspired by one of the journaling cards from the Lemon Owl Weekend Trip collection, which has a pattern of striped watercolors. I wanted to create the same pattern on the watercolor paper that came with the kit and I think it came pretty close.

The journaling card also has a sentiment on it that looks like a stamp, so I used some sentiment stamps by Ali Edwards on my watercolor paper as well. And this is the layout that I created.

The Clique Kits come every month with a boat load of product, including exclusive cut files and flair buttons. If you don't want to miss out, you can subscribe overhere and join our Clique!

Thank you for stopping by and have a great weekend!

DT The Cut Shoppe - Be awesome, be you

Hi everyone! Today I've something slightly different to share with you, made for The Cut Shoppe. When I saw the Words to Live By cut file, I knew what to do with it and it was not going to be a scrappy project. I still had a couple of these canvas bags laying around and they are perfect to decorate.

I went for the 'Be awesome Be you' quote and cut it with the Silhouette Stencil material. This stuff is really great to create your own masks. It's sticky so it doesn't move on your project and it's reusable. I chose a bright pink fabric paint, which is matching the color of the bag perfectly.

This is the complete Words to Live By cut file and you can find it overhere in the store.

Thanks for stopping by and enjoy your day!

DT Paper Issues - I have issues

Hi everyone! Today I have a layout to share about a serious issue of mine and I'm pretty sure many of you are struggling with the same issue ;-) I'm totally addicted to In-N-Out and it's so frustrating to not have one close by! Their burgers are so good, I think it's the spread that makes it perfect. When I'm traveling through the US I stop at every In-N-Out I see, just because at that moment I can and I never know when I will get my next chance.

This issue deserved a layout, and of course I had to use one of the Paper Issues cards for my title. The red alpha is from Elle's Studio and I love how close it gets to the In-N-Out font. Everything else on this layout is from the September Swag Bag.

DT Paper Issues - Santa Monica Pier

Today I'm sharing a layout that I've made for the current issue at Paper Issues: Woodn't you know, it's Fall! This issue is sponsored by Pinkfresh Studio and there's a fabulous goodie bag for you to win!

I'm not a Fall (or Winter) person at all, I do best when temperatures are sky high. So I decided to ignore the Fall part in this issue and focus on the wood. I used the gorgeous Webster's Pages Ocean Melody collection, which has this beautiful Driftwood paper that I used for my title. The All Tied Up alpha cut file is from The Cut Shoppe

You can link up your projects overhere at our link party and you might be our lucky winner!!

Are you in denial about Fall and want to scrap some happy sunny Summer photos? You can find the Webster's Pages Ocean Melody collection overhere in the Paper Issues store. When you use code DANIELLE20 at checkout, you'll receive a 20% discount on your entire purchase!

DT Clique Kits - Pep Rally October

Hi everyone and welcome to the Clique Kits October Pep Rally! You should have arrived here from Carolina. If not, you can start our line up overhere at the Clique Kits blog to not miss any of the awesome projects!

The challenge this month is to show why I'm glad to live in a world where there are Octobers. Now here's a big issue, because I'm not so glad to live in a world where there are Octobers. I blame it to the country I live in as we have mostly horrible Falls and Winters. I'm SO NOT made for these seasons and I'm pretty sure that I'm born in the wrong country! I can't wait until Spring and Summer are on their way and having long days filled with sunshine again.

So what to do with this challenge? As you might know, I just returned from an awesome California road trip and the weather overthere is perfect for me, I can handle the heat very well. So I decided to use a picture taken in California, where I would probably be very glad to live in a world where there are Octobers! Of course this one is taken in San Francisco at one of the cable cars.

Here's your hop order for today:

DT The Cut Shoppe - Go!

Today I have a layout for The Cut Shoppe to share with you. I always get crazy excited when Ashley designs travel themed cut files, it's just simply the theme I scrap about the most. Last Thursday she added this awesome set of Pack Your Bags Tags to the store and I knew immediately what to do with this set.

I started with creating a background with two of the tags and worked from there on. Tucked in the cluster there's a third tag from the set. I used the Crate Paper Notes & Things collection and added some Pinkfresh Studio Wood Drop Chevrons, both from Paper Issues.
The picture that I used on this layout is taken a couple weeks ago in Kings Canyon National Park.

This is the Pack Your Bags Tags set and you can find it overhere in the store.

Thanks for stopping by and enjoy your day!

DT Paper Issues - Cut it Out Saturday

Happy Saturday! We're having something new and fun over at Paper Issues: Cut it Out Saturday! Our own Jen Chapin will create and post a cut file every third Saturday of the month and we would love to see what you create with it!

To give you some inspiration, me and a couple other girls of the team already created a layout with the cut file. You can find all our layouts over at the Paper Issues blog today. This is the cut file for this month and you can download it for free at Paper Issues!

For my layout I used the Elle's Studio Sycamore Lane collection. Elle's Studio is a forever fave of mine and they nailed it again with this collection, I love those colors and the cork shapes are super cute! I decided to cut up the cut file in two parts and placed these each in a corner of my layout. These instax pictures are taken during my recent California road trip.

We hope you'll play along with us, you can link up your projects made with this cut file overhere for your chance to win a November Swag Bag!!

Want to play with this awesome Sycamore Lane collection? You can find it overhere in the Paper Issues store. Use code DANIELLE20 for 20% off your purchase!

DT Clique Kits - Transamerica Pyramid

Hi everyone! Today I'm sharing a layout for Clique Kits and on their blog you can find a little tutorial on using Silhouette cut files for your backgrounds. Each and every month the Clique Kits come with exclusive cut files and I want to show how to use them in a 'different than usual' way.

For this layout I used the triangle border cut file, which is a perfect design for the picture of the Transamerica Pyramid in San Francisco. I used the triangle as a returning element on my page; besides the cut file you can also find them in the flair button, element stickers and patterned paper behind the photo.

All these fabulous papers and embellishments are from the Basic Grey Second City collection, with an addition of the Pinkfresh Studio wood chevrons that all came with the October Masquerade Ball kit.

Thanks for stopping by and have a great day!

DT Clique Kits - City life

Today I'm up with my first layout for the Clique Kits Design Team. Be sure to check out the Clique Kits blog as well today to see what my fellow team members created!

The October Masquerade Ball kit is filled with Basic Grey Second City. I love this collection, even though all the purple in it is a huge challenge for me! For the background I used two cut files from The Cut Shoppe that were created for the September kit, they were a perfect addition for this layout.

The picture I used is a typical Dutch city view with the canals and bicycles, a view that makes me feel at home!
