Paper Issues - Die cutting Saturday

Happy Saturday everyone! It's not just Saturday, it's Die Cutting Satuday at Paper Issues. Our own Jennifer Chapin designed this awesome Falling Stars cut file, which you can download overhere for FREE!

I cut this file out on white cardstock and backed it with the You Are paper from the Elle's Studio Cienna collection. I colored some of the diamonds in the paper with watercolors. Because this picture is taken at a tilted angle, I tilted the entire cluster of layers.

Over on the Paper Issues blog you can find more examples of projects made with this cut file. We would love to see what you create with it, so download it overhere and link up your project for your chance to win an April Swag Bag!

You can find the Elle's Studio Cienna collection overhere in the Paper Issues store. Also, so many new products keep coming to the store. Keep an eye out for all the new items to not miss anything and use code DANIELLE20 for 20% off your entire purchase!

The Cut Shoppe - Sight seeing

Hello everyone! Today I have a layout to share for The Cut Shoppe with the new World Traveler cut file set. I used the 'going places' and 'sight seeing' words to cut out of the background paper and backed them with papers from the Elle's Studio Cienna collection.

This picture is taken at Amsterdam airport, where all my travels start but also where I come home again. Traveling is one of my biggest passions and I'm very grateful for all the places I've been able to see so far, but there's nothing like having a place that you can call home and being able to see the beauty of home. I tried to express both feelings with this picture and this layout. On one hand going places and seeing the world. On the other hand seeing the beauty and appreciating the place that is home.

Hi everyone! Today I have a layout to share for Clique Kits with the April kit. When I got my hands on this kit and saw all the pretty colors and designs of the Pinkfresh Studio Up in the Clouds collection, I just knew I had to make a layout with this picture and the clouds cutfile that came with this kit. This picture is taken in Yosemite National Park.

Over on the Clique Kits blog you can find a step by step how I used this cutfile, together with some vellum from Webster's Pages Beautiful Chic.

Clique Kits - Make beautiful things & enjoy

Hello everyone! Today I'm sharing my first layout created with the April Happy Everything kit from Clique Kits. April is the month to celebrate Clique Kits' first anniversary. It has been an amazing year with outstanding kits each and every month!

This anniversary kit is filled with the super cute Up in the Clouds collection from Pinkfresh Studio. It's such a joy to work with this kit. For this layout I used a picture of my daily amount of fruit, that go in green smoothies that I make myself. It was the perfect subject to go with these gorgeous pineappel flair buttons.

This is what the entire April Happy Everything kit looks like.

Clique Kits - March Pep Rally

Hello and welcome to the Clique Kits March Pep Rally, featuring the March J'adore kit. You should have arrived here from Tyra. If not, you can start your hop over at the Clique Kits blog.

This month the challenge is to add a pop of neon on your project. That was an easy one, as the March kit has some awesome WRMK transparencies with pops of neon on it. I wanted to take this challenge a little further and decided that my picture needed to be one with pops of neon too. What picture is better than one taken in Las Vegas, where neon lights are everywhere. My all time favorite neon signs are the ones from Hard Rock.

I love this background paper with the triangles, but it needed a little more color. So I went in with watercolors and randomly gave some of the triangles some color. The cut file came with the March kit and I decided to cut it with the black paper that came with the kit, so it would pop off the page.

Here is your hop order for today:

The Cut Shoppe - Fly with me

Hello everyone! Today I have a layout to share that I've made for The Cut Shoppe with the new Geometric Graffiti background cut file. I used the 8.5x11 version and cut it on the left side of my background paper.

I used the Crate Paper Notes & Things collection and I had to back the cut file up with the Schedule paper. It is one of my favorite papers of all time and I thought it was a great fit with the same triangle shapes as the cut file. I also added some wood veneer from Chic Tags.

Thanks for stopping by and have a wonderful day!
