Ahoy Matey card

Hi everyone,

I have a card to share today made with the Lawn Fawn Ahoy, Matey stamp and dies set. Since Saba used to be a pirate island, I thought this would be a great addition to the cards I'm selling here on the island.

I water colored all the images and used Distress Oxide inks for the background, Brushed Corduroy for the beach, Tumbled Glass for the sky and Cracked Pistachio and Salty Ocean for the water.

Thank you for stopping by and have a great day!

Mermaid Card

Hi everyone!

Today I have another card to share that I've made with the Mermaid for You set from Lawn Fawn. I added a few stamps from the You are Sublime set, the Wave Borders, Wave Accents and Harold's ABC's. For the background I used Distress Oxide Inks (Cracked Pistachio, Tumbled Glass, Salty Ocean and Blueprint Sketch).

Mermaid Card

Hi everyone!

I finally got into the Lawn Fawn stamps! Along with the dies it makes it so easy to make cute cards. I'm still waiting on my Copic markers, so for now I'm using water colors. It works ok, but the images are very small so it's hard to get some good shades. For now it will have to do.

Here is my first card using the Mermaid for You set, the Wave Borders and Harold's ABC's. For the background I used Distress Oxide inks (Salty Ocean, Cracked Pistachio and Blueprint Sketch).

Hi everyone,

I decided to make another layout based on last week's Scraplift Sunday at Paper Issues. This time I used Distress Oxide Inks to give the background a watercolor look. Then I used papers and embellishments from Kaisercraft, Webster's Pages, Pink Paislee and Jillibean Soup from the January Kit.

Thank you for stopping by and enjoy your weekend!

Paper Issues - Stamp of Approval Challenge

Hi everyone!

I'm sharing a card today that I've made for the Stamp of Approval Challenge at Paper Issues. For the background I blended some Distress Oxide inks and gold embossed the sentiments. I stamped the mermaid tail with Distress Oxide inks as well, fussy cut is and attached it to the background with foam tape to give the card some dimension.

Paper Issues - May Flowers Challenge

Hi everyone!

Today I have a card to share that I made for the May Flowers Challenge at Paper Issues. Sometimes I find it very relaxing to water color, so I stamped the Wplus9 Kind Soul flower stamp with Versamark and clear heat embossed it. This makes it a lot easier when you're still working on your water color skills as you're having some sort of borders when you're coloring.

Paper Issues - Stamp of Approval Challenge

Hi everyone!

Today I have two cards to share that I both made with the Hero Arts Jellyfish Party background stamp. I loaded the stamp with Distress Oxide inks in rainbow colors and sprayed water on it before I stamped it. This way you get a more water colored look for your background. I'll enter these cards for the Stamp of Approval challenge at Paper Issues.

For the first card I stamped the Deep Red Stamps Seahorse, fussy cut it and added it to the card with foam tape.

For the second card I stamped the Ellen Hutson Mermaid Tail with Distress Oxide inks, sprayed it with just a little bit of water before I stamped it and fussy cut it. The sentiment is from the same stamp set.

Thank you for stopping by and have a great day!

Paper Issues - Scraplift Sunday

Hi everyone!

It's been a while since I posted. That doesn't mean I haven't been creating, just didn't have the time to take pictures and write a post.

The layout I'm sharing today was made for the Scraplift Sunday challenge from last week at Paper Issues. I was inspired by the circle shaped background from the original layout and grabbed some acrylic paints. All the papers and embellishments are from the Simple Stories Oh Happy Day collection.

This picture is taken on King's Day, a Dutch national holiday when the national color orange is shown everywhere. I made Blink where my orange 'I'm Royal' t-shirt and as you can see, she was super excited about that LOL.

Art Journal

Hi everyone,

I have a page in my art journal to share today. About a week ago I saw this video by my friend Rachel Kleinman who made this art journal page that I totally loved and I knew right away I had to lift it. Check out her channel for more great videos!

To see how I did this, just check out Rachel's video as I did basically the same thing she did :-) Sometimes I'm just to tired to think, but still want to create something and then it's great to just watch someone's video and lift the project they're making. I used acrylic paint from Vicki Boutin, washi tape from Simple Stories and a Dylusions stencil.

Thanks for stopping by and have a great Sunday!

Paper Issues - Pinspire Me Challenge

Happy Saturday!

Today I have a layout to share for the Pinspire Me challenge at Paper Issues. I was inspired by all the colors of this mood board.

I used my Paper Issues April kit to make this layout. I think this is my favorite kit so far, I love all the happy colors and designs! I used the Pink Paislee Horizon papers and embellishments from the kit. I think I need a life time supply of those puffy stickers, they are awesome and I could use those on every single layout I make!

Thank you for stopping by and have a great weekend!

Paper Issues - Stamp of Approval Challenge

Hi everyone!

Today I'm sharing the last Mother's Day card I made for this year, I gotta say I'm pretty much over it by now LOL. I will enter this one for the Stamp of Approval Challenge at Paper Issues.

I think this one is actually my favorite of all the Mother's Day cards I have made. First I stamped the hibiscus flowers with Distress Oxide inks (Spun Sugar and Picked Raspberry) from the Altenew Totally Tropical stamp set. Then I masked the flowers to stamp the background with the 'I love you' sentiment from the Honey Bee Best Parents stamp set with Distress Oxide Pumice Stone. The 'Happy Mother's Day' sentiment is from that same stamp set as well. To finish the card up, I clear heat embossed the big sentiment and the dark pink parts of the flowers and I added some Nuvo Crystal Drops.

Paper Issues - Stamp of Approval Challenge

Hi everyone,

Today I have a couple more cards to share that I've made for the Stamp of Approval Challenge at Paper Issues.

For all cards I used the Altenew Totally Tropical stamp set.
On the first card I stamped the images with Distress Oxide inks, added the quote and some Nuvo drops.

For the next two cards I made backgrounds with three Distress Oxide colors on watercolor paper, stamped and white heat embossed the flowers and leaves on it and fussy cut them. The hummingbird stamp is from Deep Red Stamps and I stamped 'Saba' with Elle's Studio Jane Alphabet stamp

The quote on the third card is from the Best Parents stamp set from Honey Bee stamps.

Thank you for stopping by today!

Paper Issues - Stamp of Approval Challenge

Today I have two cards to share that I've made for the Stamp of Approval Challenge at Paper Issues.

For both cards I first made backgrounds with three different colors of Distress Oxide Ink. Then I stamped the mermaid tail and shell with Versamark and gold heat embossed them. I stamped the quote with black archival ink and clear heat embossed it. All these stamps are from Ellen Hutson's Mermaid Tail and Inner Mermaid stamp sets.

The dolphin stamp is from Deep Red Stamps, I love their fine detailed images!

National Scrapbooking Day

Hi everyone!

I hope all you crafters enjoyed National Scrapbooking Day. I did for sure as I was able to get two layouts, two cards and an art journal page done! It's been a real long time since I got that much done in a day.

Today I'm sharing the layout I made for a special sketch challenge at Paper Issues. The sketch was made especially for NSD. I used the Echo Park Paper Mermaid Dreams collection, along with a Dylusions Scales stencil, Vicki Boutin Rose Gold Glaze and Nuvo Crystal Drops.

It's such a pain to get the Rose Gold Glaze photographed properly, it almost looks like you've smeared chocolate on your page :-) I think the layout looks so much better in person.

Thank you for stopping by and have a great day!
