Altenew: A Year In Review Blog Hop + Giveaway

Hi everyone!

It's that time of the year where we are looking back at the year behind us. Today we are having a Altenew blog hop where everyone is sharing their favorite projects from the past year. You should have arrived here from the super talented Daniel Diaz, you can find the full hop list at the end of this post.

It was a tough pick because I have many Altenew favorites, but these are my 4 favorites from this past year.

The Spectacular Adventures stamp and die set is one of my favorites that was released this year and I used it on this card in combination with the Gradient Sunset stamp set.

For the next card I ombré ink blended a piece of cardstock and die cut it with the Garden Trellis cover die. The flowers and leaves are from the Strength Blooms stamp and die set.

The next card is made with the Fresh Bloom stamp and die set. The colored strip is made with alcohol inks, Altenew stencils and a gel plate. You can find a video HERE that shows how I made it.

For the next card I inked the top left corner of my card with the Strip Builder stencil and build a bouquet in the bottom right corner with the Sweet Rose Bouquet stamp set.

AECP - In the Mood for Color

Hi everyone!

I'm back today with a card for another AECP class, this time it's the In the Mood for Color class. Each lesson in this class is about a different color and the last lesson was about a rainbow of colors. If you know me, you know this was an easy pick and I just had to create a rainbow!

I created the rainbow background with the Shattered Cubes Builder stencil and a pink, yellow and teal ink. You only need these three colors to create a rainbow of 5 colors. The pink and yellow blended give you orange and the yellow and teal blended give you green.

Because the background is already so colorful, I wanted to keep the flowers and leaves more neutral. I stamped the Antique Roses with the Sugarplums Crisp Dye Inks and the leaves of this stamp set with the Gentleman's Gray Crisp Dye Inks.

De sentiment is from the Tiny Sentiments Hello set and I white heat embossed it on a strip of black cardstock.

Thank you for stopping by and have a great day!

AECP - With A Twist

Hi everyone!

It's been a while, but I finally had some time to continue with AECP classes. Today I'm sharing a card that I made for the With A Twist class. I loved the different techniques that were shown in all the classes!

I decided to make a shaker card and since we're in the Holiday season, it's a Christmas shaker card. First I stamped the layered Christmas tree from the Sketched Evergreen set with Prickly Pear Crisp Dye Inks and the deer from the Modern Deer set with Coffee Break Crisp Dye Inks.

Then I made my background with the Splatter Hot Foil Plate and a rosé foil and I cut out the Christmas tree silhouette with the die from the Sketched Evergreen set. For my shaker embellishments I picked a mix of red, white and pink hearts and peppermints from Trinity Stamps.

I placed the stamped tree and deer partially over the shaker window.
Because there is so much happening on the card already, I stamped the sentiment on the inside of the card.

Thank you for stopping by and enjoy the Holidays!

Hi everyone!

It's time for another new release at Altenew! Today we're releasing the Craft Your Life Project Kit: Vintage Tapestry. If you're following the blog hop list, you should have arrived here from the amazing Michelle Short. You can find the full list at the bottom of this post.

Vintage beauty in a classic style! Create gorgeous vintage print-inspired projects using this Vintage Tapestry kit! This kit contains a beautiful 3-dimensional embossing folder, a 6x8 layering stamp set, a 4-piece layering stencil set, and a matching die set to cut all the pieces from the stamp set and the layering stencil set.
For this card I created my background with the Embossing Folder and inked all the elements with the coordinating Layering Stencils and Crisp Dye Inks. I stamped and die cut two of the flowers from the Stamp Set that match the flowers in the Embossing Folder and added them with foam tape over the embossed flowers to give the card some more dimension. I finished the card with one of the sentiments from the Stamp Set.

For my second card I used the Layering Stencil directly on the background. Then I stamped and die cut a bunch of flowers and leaves from the Layering Stamp Set and added them to the bouquet with foam tape to create dimension. I finished the card with one of the amazing sentiments from this stamp set.

Altenew NEW Sweet Moments Collection Release Blog Hop + Giveaway

Hi everyone!

Today we're celebrating the release of the Altenew Sweet Moments collection and we're have a HUGE giveaway with $300 total in prizes! If you are following the blog hop list, you should have arrived here from my super talented sweet friend Lilith Eeckels. You can find the entire hop list at the bottom of this post.

The Sweet Moments Collection has 6 new stamp sets, 5 hot foil plates, 2 embossing folders and 3 stencil sets! Each and every new item is gorgeous and so much fun to work with.

I have 5 cards to share with you today that I made with the Sweet Moments collection.

I just had to start of with one of the new Hot Foil Plates, I'm so excited Altenew started making these now! I used the Splatter Hot Foil Plate to create the background of my card and I'm totally in love with the result! I created a bouquet of flowers and leaves from the Colorful Soul stamp & die set. For the sentiment I gold heat embossed of the sentiments from this same set, die cut it and added it to the bouquet with foam tape.

The second one is made with the All Things Sweet Stamp & Die Bundle. I stamped the sorbet and cupcake directly on the background with Crisp Dye Ink Cube sets. Then I masked them to ink blend the background. I placed the Halftone stencil on top of the ink blend and did a baby wipe ink resist. I stamped another sorbet and the stack of chocolate pieces, die cut them and added them to the card with foam tape for some dimension. I finished the card with a sentiment from this stamp set.

For the third card I created a background with the new Woven Basket 3D Embossing folder. I stamped and die cut a bunch of the flowers and leaves from the Colorful Soul stamp & die set with Crips Dye Ink cubes and created a wreath. The first part of the sentiment is gold heat embossed and die cut and the second part is white heat embossed.

For the fourth card I created a background again with the gorgeous Woven Basket Embossing Folder, I love the beautiful detail it gives a card. I stamped and die cut the beautiful plants from the Pots and Plants Stamp & Die set and colored them with Artist Alcohol Markers. I white heat embossed the sentiment to a black cardstock strip.

I kept the last card clean and simple by just using the Rose Mellow Layering Stencil with Crisp Dye Inks directly on the background. I love how you can create a gorgeous bouquet with just layering stencils! The sentiment is gold heat embossed and die cut and I stamped the small sentiment directly on the background.
