Last Saturday I was babysitting Phiene and I took her out for a day of fun. We went to the city of Utrecht where the Dick Bruna House is located. Dick Bruna is the creator of Miffy (her original name is Nijntje and that is how the Dutch kids know her). The Dick Bruna House is a fun way for little children to get familiar with a museum. Miffy's house is in there and the kids can actually go in there and sit on Miffy's bed or chair. Other than that there are televisions with headphones where they can listen to the Miffy story's and there are 2 locations where they can craft a Miffy room and the Miffy ears.
Phiene's first words, when we were in the museum, were: 'I wanna get out of here!' But after I showed her around, she (luckily) started to like it :-) And what is the best way to end a day of fun? That's right, a visit to Mc Donalds!
I took a lot photo's that day and I didn't want to make a mini album, so I tried to get as much photo's as possible on a one pager. I managed to get 13 photo's on this layout and it became a sort of collage which represents the day perfectly.
For this layout I used Crate Papers, Crate Buttons, Crate Stickers and Crate Alpha from the April kit of My Scrapbook Nook. And since a very long time I used my edge scraper for all the edges. Much fun to dig in your 'old' stuff and use it again!
TFL and have a wonderful day!!

Sunshine and Happiness
I have tons of 'happy' photo's of little Phiene, not that weird as she's always smiling :-) She can really make my day with her smile! So I dove into the Sunshine and Happiness collection by Bella Blvd, which is a perfect fit for all the happy photo's. Here's the first layout and there's more to come!
The photo I used for this one is from almost 2 years ago.
And yes, it's the first time I used misting spray, how fun is that! :-) I was cutting out the paper strips for the chevron element and after that I was messing with the sprays on the paper I cut the strips out. That gave me the idea to make my own mask out of a 12x12 kraft sheet.

This is what it became:
And on this photo you can see clearly how to use this mask in 2 ways on 1 layout: spraying on the right top and as a mask to cut out strips in the middle.

Then finally the album with my vacation pics is finished. I'm so glad that I did the pre-work for this album, because usually it takes me forever to scrap my vacation pics. Now I do have them in a mini album and I can sit back and relax. Well some of the pics will make it to a 12x12 page, but all of these photo's will not frustrate me anymore ;-)
Like I showed before I used the Teresa Collins travel kit for this one. Fabulous collection and so different from what I usually would use for travel pics. Recently I fell in love with my Instagram app, it makes it so easy to edit your photo's. I edited all the photo's for this album with Instagram, as I thought it fitted the style of the album best.
