Paper Issues - LIVE Keep it Sketchy

Hi everyone!

Last night I was LIVE in the Paper Issues Friends & Fans Facebook group and made a layout for the Keep it Sketchy challenge. If you missed the LIVE, you can always watch the replay! I used the Vicki Boutin Wildflower & Honey collection along with two birthday pictures of Blink. She turned two on November 1st and I made her a birthday cake and made her and her friend Rover wear party hats. They only liked the cake part LOL.

Thank you for stopping by and enjoy your Sunday!

Paper Issues - LIVE

Hi everyone!

Last Wednesday I was LIVE in the Paper Issues Friends & Fans facebook group with another challenge for the Fall Crop. If you didn't get a chance to join, you can watch the replay in the group.
This time I made a layout for the Let's Get Social challenge, which is about selfies, snapshat etc. I used this selfie of Blink and I, taken on my birthday. Blink is absolutely not shy of the camera and often pulls up a funny face. I worked with the Pretty Little Studio Chasing the Sun collection.

Paper Issues Fall Crop LIVE

Hi everyone!

Today I have another layout to share that I've made for the Fall Crop at Paper Issues, during my LIVE with Mary-Ann on Sunday evening. I love this picture of Blink on a surf board, taken on Oak Island, NC last September. To keep the Summer feel of this picture I used the Pretty Little Studio Chasing the Sun collection.

Paper Issues Fall Crop LIVE

Hi everyone!

We're having a blast in the Paper Issues Friends & Fans facebook group with the Fall Crop! Yesterday morning I was LIVE and had Kelly joining me. You can watch the replay if you missed it. Tonight I will be LIVE again at 8pm EDT and Mary-Ann is joining me, so be there!

I made a layout for the Seeing Double challenge, all you need to do is use two or more pictures. Easy peasy, right? I used the Vicki Boutin Wildflower & Honey collection, which is even so much better in person than I thought it was when I ordered it. The bright colors...so good! These pictures were taken during our vacation at Dog Beach in Ocean Beach, CA.

Thank you for stopping by and have a crafty Sunday!

Paper Issues Fall Crop - Sheet Happens Challenge

Hi everyone!

This weekend is the online Fall Crop at Paper Issues!! You don't want to miss all the fun, chatter, challenges and prizes you can win! Go check it all out in the Paper Issues Fans & Friends Facebook group.

Today I'm sharing a layout that I made for the Sheet Happens Challenge. The challenge is to use solid papers. This could also be the solids with dots for example from Simple Stories or Doublebug.
I used only solid papers from Simple Stories and added embellishments from their Happy Trails collection. To add a little more color I used watercolor in the background and to make your solids a little more interesting you can draw faux stitching on it like I did.

Thank you for stopping by today and hope to see you this weekend for the crop!

Happy weekend!

Christmas Cards

Hi everyone!

Last week I got my Christmas stamp sets in and have been happily making cards since. I received the Lawn Fawn Christmas Dreams, Sweet Christmas, Christmas Fishes, Ho-ho-holidays and Holiday Helpers from Paper Issues. They are all so cute and easy to mix and match! Especially the new Christmas Fishes made me very happy, it's such a good fit for the Caribbean. I did make a few cards with snow, but it just doesn't feel right to sell here.

Stay tuned for tomorrow when I will share some more. Thank you for stopping by and have a great day!

Paper Issues - Secret Life of Pets

Hi everyone,

Today I'm sharing two cards that I've made for the Secret Life of Pets challenge. The Lawn Fawn At the Dog Park set is one of my favorites, you can make so many different scenes with them, like I'm showing with these two cards. I decided to not add any sentiments to these cards so they can be used for any occasion.  All coloring is done with Nuvo markers and Distress Oxide inks from the Paper Issues store.

Thank you for stopping by and enjoy your day!

Paper Issues - 52 Friday Favorites

Hi everyone,

Today I'm sharing some pages in my Travelers Notebook for the 52 Friday Favorites challenge at Paper Issues. This challenge is about documenting your 52 weeks of the year in a TN. Everyone has pictures taken during each week that are not always worth it to make a layout with, but we want to document the small things in life too. That's why this challenge is so great, you can easily and quickly document your weeks in a TN.

I do this same concept for my travels. Not every picture is worth a layout, sometimes the quality of the picture is not so great, but it still tells a story. So everything ends up in my travel journal. I sew my own TN's and use simple kraft TN inserts. For my recent travels I'm using the Doodlebug I {heart} Travel collection.

Thank you for stopping by and have a great weekend!

Card - You Light Up my World

Hi everyone!

I'm in love with this little underwater scene! I kept this card's design clean and simple and only used an anchor embossing folder for the background. The stamps are from the Lawn Fawn Mermaid for You and You are Sublime sets. I used Nuvo markers and Distress Oxide inks for the coloring.

Paper Issues - Scraplift Sunday

Hi everyone!

It's Scraplift Sunday over at Paper Issues and of course I had to play along. This week we are lifting an awesome layout by Jen.

For my layout I used the Amy Tangerine Slice of Life collection, mainly because it has three frames in the ephemera pack that we're perfect to copy Jen's layout. I started my layout by using watercolors for the background and build it up from there. The picture was taken last week when Blink and I were brought home by my friend who is the captain on the dive boat on Saba. We had all been stuck on St. Martin for a couple days because of a storm and ferries were canceled too. So we were very happy Blink's dogfather could take us home!

Thank you for stopping by and enjoy your Sunday!
