Paper Issues - Scraplift Sunday

Hi everyone!

Today a layout for my favorite Paper Issues challenge of the week: Scraplift Sunday! This week's inspiration came from Anna.

I usually just grab one collection or kit to make a layout, because then I don't have to think about matching colors and patterns. For this picture of Blink, taken during one of our walks, I wanted to use that Simple Stories Paradise Found paper for sure. The leaves on the paper are also in the picture. But I also wanted to go for the Pinkfresh Studio Out and About embellishments because they fit the picture perfectly. It was a tough one as the colors didn't match at all, but I went for it anyway. The Thickers for the title and the teal Echo Park paper came from the Paper Issues June Kit. I finished the layout with some doodling and Bottle Green Nuvo drops.

The sign in the picture says 'For tired strangers' and it's located at a wooden bus stop along a very steep road.

Paper Issues - You've Got To Be Kittin' Me

Hi everyone!

Today I'm sharing a layout for the You've Got To Be Kittin' Me Challenge over at Paper Issues. I realized that I didn't even open my June kit Pontoon yet...so it was time to jump in and make a layout for the kit challenge.

I took this picture last week when I took Blink to Gary's Pond. It's a little area where they put big rocks in the ocean to create a pond where you can swim in, since the ocean around Saba is mostly too rough to swim in. Blink didn't feel like going in the water, but she enjoyed running around for sure!

National Scrapbooking Day

Hi everyone!

I hope all you crafters enjoyed National Scrapbooking Day. I did for sure as I was able to get two layouts, two cards and an art journal page done! It's been a real long time since I got that much done in a day.

Today I'm sharing the layout I made for a special sketch challenge at Paper Issues. The sketch was made especially for NSD. I used the Echo Park Paper Mermaid Dreams collection, along with a Dylusions Scales stencil, Vicki Boutin Rose Gold Glaze and Nuvo Crystal Drops.

It's such a pain to get the Rose Gold Glaze photographed properly, it almost looks like you've smeared chocolate on your page :-) I think the layout looks so much better in person.

Thank you for stopping by and have a great day!

Paper Issues - Swanky Swatches challenge

Hi everyone!

Today I'm sharing a layout that I made for the Swanky Swatches challenge at Paper Issues. I used the Echo Park Paper Mermaid Dreams collection.

I have to admit that I got a little carried away by all the mermaids when I ordered this collection. Now that I'm working with it I'm having a real hard time with this color scheme. It is too much purple for me. Probably for the next layouts with this collection, I will work with a white cardstock background to tone it down a bit. For the color palette of this challenge it worked out great though!

Thanks for stopping by and have a great weekend!

Clique Kits - Create Happiness

Hi everyone! Today I have another layout to share for Clique Kits with the December Enchanted Meadow kit. Besides all the Heidi Swapp September Skies papers and embellishments, this kit also had some gorgeous Echo Park papers and chipboard elements. The colors of it asked for some fun and happy pictures.

My little niece shares my love for crafting and already at a very young age I started introducing her to scrapbooking and now she's working on her own Disney album. Every time she comes over, she asks right away if we're going to scrapbook. Two weeks ago I asked her if she wanted to have lunch at McDonalds and she said: Can't we just have a sandwich at your house, so I can quickly start working on my album? Uhm ok, you gotta love this kid!

Clique Kits - July Honor Society Blog Hop

Hi everyone and welcome to the Clique Kits July Honor Society blog hop! You should be arrving here from Mariah's blog. Along the hop you'll find all kind of fun projects made by the Clique Kits members. Be sure to make a stop at every blog for your chance to win the giveaway!

The challenge this time is Captured on Film. Ideas for projects are using filmstrips, viewfinders or polaroids on your layout and/or featuring photos from a play, seeing a play or a movie.

When I was in New York of course I had to see one of the musicals that were playing on Broadway. At the time Shrek the Musical was playing at the Broadway Theater, I loved the movies so the choice to see the musical was quickly made. It was one of the best musicals I've ever seen!

For my layout I used the July kit A Midsummer Nights Dream that was filled with Echo Park Paper Capture Life, Crate Paper Open Road and Pinkfresh Studio.

Here's the line up for our blog hop today:

DT Life.Paper.Scrapbook. July Mood Board challenge

We're having a new Mood board challenge for you at Life.Paper.Scrapbook. Some fun colors and textures, I hope you feel inspired too and will join us! This challenge is sponsored by Scrappy Canary.

My layout is about one of my favorite spots in Universal Studios: Curious George goes to Town. It's actually a fun playground where a lot of water is involved, but we love to hang around there and get soaked when the temperatures are very high.

For my layout I used my Clique Kits July kit 'A Midsummer Nights Dream' with Echo Park Paper's Capture Life collection and Crate Paper On the Road ephemera. The title is made with one of the exclusive cut files that come with each kit.

Hop over to Life.Paper.Scrapbook. to see what my fellow team members created and link up your own projects made with this moad board for your chance to win a prize provided by Scrappy Canary!

Scrappy Canary (formerly Polly Scrap! kits) is Australia's premier crafting kit club, offering monthly Scrapbook, Pocket Life and Embellishment kits. New York - the city that never sleeps

Today I'm sharing a layout made with the Clique Kits July kit A Midsummer Nights Dream. This kit is loaded with the Echo Park Paper Capture Life collection and embellishments from Crate Paper, We R Memory Keepers and Pinkfresh Studio.

For my first layout with this kit I used a picture of New York by night, with in the middle the Empire State building. The Clique kits always come with some exclusive cut files and the striped background is one of this month's cut files. Of course I had to use the Bokeh Teal paper for the background as well, it's a perfect fit for the night picture with all the lights.

I used the Pinkfresh Studio gold foil alpha for my title and placed it diagonally to fallow the design of the striped background. The small alpha stickers are from Studio Calico. All the background stripes are covered with the small gold striped washi tape.

December Daily

Happy New Year to you all! May all your wishes and dreams come true!!

My first post of this year is about the last pages of my December Daily. Honestly I'm a little proud of myself that I finished it, I've had some hard times to keep up with it. But now that it's done, I'm happy with the finished album.

December Daily

Hi everyone, I hope you've had a wonderful Christmas and of course took lots of pictures! I'm sharing an update again of my December Daily. I might have to explain a little something about page 26. Overhere in The Netherlands we have a 1st and a 2nd Christmas day, we don't really celebrate Christmas Eve though. Most people spend 2nd Christmas Day relaxing or watch movies, like I do.

I'll share the last pages of the album early January.
