DT Announcement

I can proudly share today that for the next 6 months I'll be part of the Creative Team of Life.Paper.Scrapbook!
Life.Paper.Scrapbook is a brand new Australian, quarterly, online publication. It's dedicated to showcasing designers from all around the world to inspire each other, explore current trends and techniques and most importantly to celebrate our love of scrapbooking and paper crafts. This is a place to share our style, designs and creations with like minded crafters from around the world.
The first issue is set to go live in late March and in the mean time our blog will be a place where we will be showcasing products, designers (from all around the world) and things that catch our eye. There will also be two challenges each month and prizes too!

I'm really excited to be part of this team. You can find my fellow team members up on the Life.Paper.Scrapbook blog today.

The call for submissions for the first issue is open until February 27th, so give it a try and maybe your project will be published!

As promised I'll also show you some more pages I made last Sunday in the Donna Downey class, starting with a photo of Donna and me. Please don't pay attention to my sleepy head :-) I had to leave home 7am that morning and traveled 3,5 hours to get there...

These two pages are made with Pan Pastels and a mask. The left page is one layer of Pan Pastel, the right page two layers.

These two pages are also made with Pan Pastels. The left page are three layers of Pan Pastel. The right page is Versamark and Pan Pastel resist. I really enjoyed the Pan Pastels, might need to get myself a set of these.

The next 2 pages were really fun to make and so easy, it's stamping with a toilet paper tube and acrylic paint. On the right page I formed the tube into a petal to make these flowers.

The effect of the next technique also became a favorite of mine. It's stamping with corrugated cardboard and acrylic paint.

The next two techniques are really nice to use on scrapbook pages. On the left page you see an embedded book text and on the right page an embedded photo.

I hope you liked what I made so far and I will show you soon how I'll use some of these techniques on my scrapbook pages.
