DT Practical Scrappers - Gesso / modeling paste

It's all about gesso and modeling paste at Practical Scrappers today. I used this new Heidi Swapp stencil and applied some thick layers of modeling paste to create a rough look.

After the modeling paste dried, I softly touched the hearts with some PanPastel to give them just a little touch of color. I used the papers and embellishments from the Amy Tangerine Yes, Please collection.

These photos were taken last week when I went shopping with Phiene. Sometimes I feel sad how fast she's growing up, but on the other hand do I really enjoy how she is discovering this world. First we went to Desigual and I loved to watch her searching through the clothes. Her eye fell on a handbag though and she told me that it maybe was time for her to have a real handbag...and just because I'm weak and because girls have an auntie to get spoiled by, I told her that she could have it. That twinkle in her eyes was priceless!
Proudly walking through the city center with her brand new handbag, she noticed the Sephora store and wanted to go in and started to ask questions. All I said was that she could try some stuff, we all know that make up is so very interesting to girls of that age. First she started carefully, but within a minute she went all crazy with the lipsticks and blusher and laughed out loud when she looked in the mirror. I just love these afternoons with her when we simply have fun. The only problem was to get her face make up free before we walked out the store...
