So lovely

Hopefully you've had a fun New Year's Eve and had a chance to relax a little yesterday. I've spend the first day of the year scrapping and today I will share one of the layouts I've made.

I made this one for a challenge at Let's Get Sketchy: not so picture perfect. I think many of us have pictures we really love, but the quality of the photo is not good enough. For this challenge you can use these photos!

The photo I used, is one that is way too cute, but it's too dark (taken into the light) and a little blurry. Sometimes you just want to capture a moment and you don't have the time to check if the light is ok and no one is moving. Especially with kids this happens a lot, but it doesn't mean that the picture hasn't a story to tell or isn't meaningful. I love this moment where Phiene is sharing her fruit with her little brother.

I used the Gossamer Blue December kit and some Chic Tags and wood veneer that came in a RAK by my sweet friend Sherri.

Gossamer Blue December kit
Amy Tangerine Ready Set Go: To Do List, On the Clock, Bits decorative tag
Thickers Eric

Chic Tags: A Camping We Will Go photo circle, Note Tag, 25 Days Arrow
Pink Paislee: Artisan Butterfly
Studio Calico: wood veneer heart and arrow

Silhouette Cameo: Lori Whitlock title, SC title
Mr. Huey's mist Boss Lady
White Vellum
Handstitching

Thanks for stopping by today and don't forget to check back this Friday when my first post for Practical Scrappers will be up!

  1. Love this! I am starting to use a lot of my imperfect images as so often those ones taken on the fly have a much better story behind them.
