AECP - All About Layering 1

Hello everyone!

Today I'm back with another card for the AECP and this one is for the All About Layering 1 course. Just like the course All About Layering 2, this course features lots of Altenew stamp sets, show cases how to layer them and gives you tons of design ideas.

In this course I was intrigued by the class with 2nd, 3rd and even 4th generation stamping. I didn't even know a 4th print would be possible, so I had to try it with the Ornamental Flower stamp set. For the background of my card I stamped the flower only with Crisp Dye Ink Jet Black with a different generation stamp print for each layer. I filled the background up with one of the small leave stamps from this set with Crisp Dye Ink Lagoon

I kept the sentiment simple by just white embossing it on a strip of black cardstock.

I stamped the big flower one more time with Crisp Dye Ink Red Cosmos colors and Sugarplums for the inside of the flower, die cut it and added it to the card with foam tape.

I really like how this technique turned out and I plan on doing it more often.

Thank you for stopping by and have a wonderful day!

AECP - All About Layering 2

Hello everyone!

I'm happy to announce that I'm participating in the Altenew Educator Certification Program! I love the brand, I love their amazingly designed stamp sets, so I'm very excited to learn more and eventually become a Certified Altenew Educator.

My first class project I'm sharing, is for the All About Layering 2 course. If you're struggling using the layered flower stamp sets, I highly recommend to follow this course (and All About Layering 1). You will see a lot of stamp sets in action, with instructions how to layer them and some great design ideas.

I'm mostly fine layering the stamps, so I was looking for another way this course was challenging me and I noticed quite some card designs where the flowers were directly stamped on the background. Usually I stamp and die cut the flowers and then create my design, so I gave the stamping on the background a try.

I stamped the two bigger tulips from the Exotic Tulips set on the background, along with the stems and some of the gorgeous leaves. The small tulip is stamped and die cut and added with foam tape to create some dimension. For the stems and leaves I used Altenew Crisp Dye Ink Misty Moor and Mangrove Root and for the tulips I used Altenew Crisp Dye Inks Butternut, Pumpkin Pie and Yellow Ochre. The sentiment is from the Exotic Tulips set as well and for a finishing touch I added some gold water color splatters.

Thank you for stopping by today and have a creative weekend!
