Sunny Studio Stamps - Blink's Christmas presents

Hi everyone!

My dog Blink has some really close friends that she had to give some Christmas presents. So I decided to make some small bags with dog treats and create some cute Christmas dog tags to go with them.

I used the Stitched Arch Dies from Sunny Studio Stamps for the base of my tags. This die set also has a separate little hole die so that you can die cut it wherever you want it in your tags, to pull the twine through. This adorable doggie was a special edition from Sunny Studio this year: Dashing Dachshund.

The patterned paper and sentiments are from Lawn Fawn.

The presents were a success, so I guess we will have to come up with something again next year ;)

Sunny Studio Stamps - miscellaneous cards

Hi everyone!

I hope you all had a wonderful Christmas with a lot of love and great food. Today I'm back with some cards that I've made with Sunny Studio Stamps.

This cutie is made with the adorable Passionate Penguins stamp set.

For the next card I combined the Plane Awesome and Critters on the Go stamp sets and the Picket Fence die set.

For this underwater scene I used the Tropical Scenes, Ocean View and Fintastic Friends stamp sets.

This puppy birthday party is made with the Party Pups stamps and the Picket Fence die set.

The last card I made with the Cherry Blossoms layering stamps and for the background I used the Woodgrain embossing folder.

Christmas Card Update

Hi everyone!

These last 2 months of the year are always so chaotic, the very little free time I have I spend on creating cards and updating my blog is not really happening. So, I decided to show the rest of the Christmas cards that I have made here in one blog post. In between I also made a few other cards, like birthdays, but I will leave those for a separate post.

The first 4 cards are all made with Sunny Studio Stamps. For the first one I created a reel, so you can see how I made it.

The next 2 cards I made with some adorable stamp sets from Newton's Nook Designs.

These 3 cards were made during the online class 'Snowball Fight' by Jenn Shurkus, with all Lawn Fawn products. If you're not familiar with her classes, you should definitely go check them out. She teaches in person classes and online classes. Since I live nowhere close to where she teaches in person, I'm so thankful for her online classes! It's in the comfort of my own home and still feel like I'm hanging out with like-minded people. Every time I learn something new and she gives me a different perspective on how to use my stamps.

Then we have a shaker card that I made with Mama Elephant stamps.

The next 2 cards are made with Purple Onion Designs stamps, by Stacey Yakula.

This card I made with Studio Light, Sweet Stories stamps.

The next card is made with Tim Holtz products.

And the last card is made with an adorable stamp from Unity Stamp Co, by Graciellie Design.

I do need a little break from making Christmas cards, but sometime in January I'll start making them again. I love to join in Get Cracking On Christmas, an initiative by Jenn Shurkus, where you're encouraged to make Christmas cards all year long to take the pressure of the last couple months of the year. I've been doing this for 2 years now and I love it!

Thank you for stopping by and I want to wish you a wonderful Christmas!!

Sunny Studio Stamps - May the Little Things...

Hi everyone!

Today's card just makes me smile every time I look at it. The Penguin Party stamp set from this year's Holiday release from Sunny Studio Stamps is probably my favorite set. These cuties are having a blast, each in their own way.

To start my scene, I ink blended the Forest Trees stencils with Distress Inks Kitsch Flamingo and Picked Raspberry at the top of my card. Then I stamped the houses of the Scenic Route set on another piece of cardstock, fussy cut it along the top and placed it on top of the pink trees with foam squares to create some dimension.

I added some snowy slopes in front of the houses, created little scenes with the penguins and tucked some presents and candy canes in between the slopes.

For an extra festive detail, I added glitter to some of the images.

Thank you for stopping by and have a wonderful day!

My Favorite Things - Card Design Superstar 2022

Hi everyone!

Very last minute I decided to create two cards for the My Favorite Things Card Design Superstar 2022 contest. You can enter one card per category, so I made one for the Coloring Virtuoso category and one for the Clean & Simple Genius category.

I'm starting here with my card for the Coloring Virtuoso category. I used the BB Drink Up the Sunshine stamp set and stamped the girl with her floatie and the bird in their position. After I colored both of them, I masked them so I could create my scene around them. I started with the ocean and beach, which I drew and colored with Copic markers. Then I masked the ocean as well and ink blended my sky with Distress Inks.

Below is my card for the Clean & Simple Genius category and the contrast with the card above couldn't be any bigger. I used some masking on this card as well to create my small scene with the Sun-Lovin' Santa stamp set. To make my scene a little more festive, I added some glitter on the ground so that the whole scene has something 'to stand on'.

Lawn Fawn - Ugly and Bright

Hi everyone!

On October 29th I joined Jenn Shurkus' Furry & Bright online class. I have done most of her classes and really enjoy them! The fact that they are online means that you can do them any time that suits your schedule, from the comfort of your own craft room. Her card designs are so fun and colorful, no matter the theme. You can find all her classes here.

This time we worked with the new Lawn Fawn Ugly and Bright stamp set and added some stamps from the Yeti or Not set. The first three cards below are the ones made in class and the last card is one of the bonus cards that come with each class.

Sunny Studio Stamps - Warm Hugs

Hi everyone!

I always like to use stamp sets in different ways. Sometimes I just sit at my desk and stare at some stamp sets and try to figure out something different than the obvious and that is how today's card happened.

The Baby Elephants stamp set from Sunny Studio Stamps is designed to create baby cards with, but I wanted these elephants to have some Holiday fun. I realized that the Santa hat from the Penguin Party stamp set perfectly fits on these elephants, so there was the start of my card. I added some candy canes and presents from the Penguin Party stamps and thought it would be fun if one of the elephants was actually holding a candy cane.

For my background I used the Hero Arts Poinsettia stencil with an ink blend of Distress Inks Kitsch Flamingo and Picked Raspberry. Then I left the stencil in place and added Lawn Fawn Fairy Dust paste.

You can watch a little process video over here.

Purple Onion Designs - Season's Greetings

Happy Sunday!

Some days I just want to sit down and color without too many complicated things on my cards. What is better for those days than the gorgeous Purple Onion Designs stamps? The images are adorable and with some masking you can easily create a different scene for each card.

For the card I'm sharing today I used the following stamps:
Cozy Holiday Home

Lawn Fawn - Beachy Christmas, creating multiple cards at once

Hi everyone!

Time to play catch up again here on the blog. I got a little behind as soon as I got an order for 25 Christmas cards for a local company.  Honestly, I forgot to take a good picture of the card, but I do have this picture of the multiple cards to show you.

I used the Lawn Fawn Beachy Christmas stamp set, Oliver's Stitched ABC's and the Winter Scripty Sentiments. I also added some Prisma Glitter to the letters.

Because I create a bulk order differently than I would create a single card, I made a reel to show my process. Hopefully that will help you out next time you want to create multiples of your card design!

Thank you for stopping by and enjoy your weekend!

Newton's Nook Designs - Sandy Christmas

Hi everyone!

I'm back today with another Newton's Nook Christmas card and this time I used the Sun Soaked Christmas stamp set.

For my background I created a more abstract beach, ocean and sunset sky by ink blending some Distress Oxide Inks: Kitsch Flamingo, Scattered Straw, Peacock Feathers and Antique Linen.

These images are so fun, this stamp set is definitely another favorite of mine!

Thank you for stopping by and enjoy your weekend!

Newton's Nook Designs - Choo Choo!

Happy Friday!

I'm still on the Christmas card train, literally for the card I'm sharing today!

The Newton's Nook Designs All Aboard for Christmas stamp set is one of my favorites from them and I love how you can put your own train together with different animals. On my cards you will always find the dog for sure though and I mix it up which other animal makes it on the train.

For the background I made an ink blend with Distress Oxide Inks Kitsch Flamingo and Scattered Straw and added some white ink splatters.

Thank you for stopping by today!

Mama Elephant - Sending Warm Wishes

Happy Wednesday!

Most of my cards are bright and bold colored, so I wanted to try some softer and lighter colors for a change.

For today's card I used the new Mama Elephant You've Got Mail stamp set. I stamped and die cut the mailbox, the bunny and the mouse and went through my Copics collection to see which marker combinations I had to create real soft colors.

Here's a list of the Copics I used for this card:
Mailbox: G000 - G00 - R00 - R01
Mailbag: R00 - R01
Bunny: E41 - E42
Scarf: V00 - V01
Mouse: E21 - E23
Bird: YR20 - YR21
Envelopes: W00 - W0

For the background I ink blended Distress Inks Picked Raspberry, Kitsch Flamingo and Scattered Straw. If you use regular Distress Inks, you get a lighter and more transparent result compared to Distress Oxide Inks.

Before I added my images to the card, I splattered some white ink on the ink blended background.

Thank you for stopping by and have a wonderful day!
