Paper Issues - You Rule the School issue

Hello everyone, it's time for a new issue at Paper Issues: You Rule the School! You can link up any projects that have something to do with rulers, school photos, back to school, first day of school, books, learning, awards, achievements and/or use this month's printables.

As I don't have kids, I went for a layout with the printables. The 'Girls just want to have fun' card goes so well with this picture taken during a vacation on Barbados. It's not only the quote, but the pink color is perfect too! All papers and embellishments are from the Pinkfresh Studio Happy Things collection.

Check out the Paper Issues blog for more inspiration and link up your own projects for your chance to win a $20 gift certificate to the Paper Issues store.

You can find this gorgeous Pinkfresh Studio collection overhere in the Paper Issues store. Don't forget to use code DANIELLE20 for 20% off!!

Paper Issues - Printables

Hello everyone! Today I have a layout to share with this month's FREE printables from Paper Issues, designed by our own Becky.

My immediate fave was the 'Noboday puts Baby in the corner' card. I mean, who hasn't seen the movie at least 386 times?? I had this perfect picture to go with it, taken at a jacuzzi where my friend and I had a girls night along with a bottle of Bacardi Lemon. See that baby face of mine? Can't believe it's already ten years ago!

I used the Pinkfresh Studio Happy Things collection for this layout and added a wood veneer embellishment from the Bottoms Up set from Color Cast Designs.

Check out the Paper Issues blog today for more inspiration with these printables!

Pretty Little Studio - Feature Friday

Hello everyone! I'm up on the Pretty Little Studio blog today for Feature Friday. This week we're featuring vellum, which is one of my favorite products. I love how it is a little more subtle than regular papers.

For my layout I wanted the vellum to be part of the background design. so I cut up the Welcome Aboard vellum into triangles and stitched them on the corners of the cardstock. The only piece of regular paper on my layout is a triangle pices of the Ship Deck Crumbles paper, the other layers under my picture are vellum and a clear sheet.

I made the title with the Cork Alphas diecuts and to make them more visible, I drawn faux stitches on the letters with a black pen. The other part of the title is made with the Atlantic Tiny ABC stickers.

I also added a wood veneer and acrylic embellishment from Color cast Designs to my page.
Products Treasure Island collection: Welcome Aboard vellum | Pirate's Journal/grey vellum | Cast Away River/black clear sheet | Ship Deck Crumbles paper | Cork Alphas die-cuts | Cut out Bingo cards | Let's Go phrase strips | Arrow Adventure | Seashore 3x4 cards | Tiny ABC Atlantic

Thank you for stopping by and have a great weekend!

Pretty Little Studio - hometown

Hello everyone! Today I have another layout to share for Pretty Little Studio, this time with the brand new Let's Go collection, which is right up my alley! I mostly scrap travel pictures, so this is totally perfect and I really love the colors and patterns.

So it may be a bit weird that my first layout with this collection is with a picture of my hometown, but it just happen to fit well with these papers too. I started the base of my layout by cutting up the Barcelona paper and stitched the three pieces along the edges of the white cardstock background. The top pattern is from the Amsterdam paper, so that's where the idea of my hometown picture came from.

I added some watercolor stripes to the white spaces and layered some papers, frames, a bingo card and labels under the picture. I really love the Tickets Define Travel and the quote I used for this layout is such a perfect fit. It says: I think you travel to search and you come back home to find yourself there.

Products Let's Go collection: Barcelona paper | Denver paper | Golden Arrow Metallic paper | Gold Foil Lover Alphas | Bingo Tags Bahamas | Frames France | Tickets Define Travel | Gold Foil Label

Thank you for stopping by and have a wonderful Sunday!

Um Wow Studio - love this

Hello everyone! Today I'm sharing my first layout as a DT member of the Um Wow Studio team. I went for a Summer layout, using some chipboard elements and a flair button.

Because the Fancy Pants Summer Sun collection has some kraft elements, I just knew that the chipboard would go fine with it just being plain. It didn't need any paint or what so ever.

These are the products I used, with links to the store.

Pretty Little Studio - Seashells

Hello everyone! I'm up at the Pretty Little Studio blog today with a new layout. I wanted to give the confetti packs a different use and created a border with them along the bottom of my page. I love that these packs come with a variety of sequins and paper stars. I think it works perfectly with the shells picture.

Fauxdori notebook passport size

Happy Monday everyone! Today I have another fauxdori in passport size to share. I've made this one with a piece of brown leather, that I already used before for a travel journal in the original Midori size.

This time I didn't make my own printable inserts, but used a set of 3 passport size notebooks. I found these at a local store and with the kraft cover they match perfectly to the leather.

Thank you for stopping by and have a great day!

Pretty Little Studio - Feature Friday Gold Mine

Hello everyone! Last week I was up on the Pretty Little Studio blog with a layout featuring the Gold Mine collection. I can't get enough of this collection, either if you're making an entire project with it or just use the gold papers and embellishments as gorgeous little details, it's simply perfect!

For my layout I first used Heidi Swapp's gold Color Shine for splatters on the background. Then I started layering with the Gold Mine papers with some Let's Go papers in between. I love how these collections go so well together.

I created borders for the top and bottom of my layout with Gold Mine and Let's Go papers as well.

For the title I mixed up the Gold Foil lower alphas and the Tiny ABC stickers Atlantic.

Another favorite of mine are the gold foil Word Art diecuts. I used the 'favorite' one and added them with pop dots so it would pop off the page.
Products Gold Mine collection: Anchors Away gold | Golden Arrow metallic | Pirate's Journal metalic gold | Word Art gold metallic 'favorite' | Gold Foil Lower Alphas | Gold Foil ticket
Products Let's Go collection: Siesta Key | Boston | Bingo Tags Bahamas | Tiny ABC Atlantic | Tickets Define Travel

Pretty Little Studio - Pinterest Inspiration

Hello everyone! Today I'm up on the Pretty Little Studio blog, with a Pinterest Inspiration post. This is the inspiration we got to work with this week. I love that striped pattern!

For my layout I wanted to copy the striped pattern, so I stitched some strips of Treasure Island papers and vellum sheets on a white cardstock background. To get the beachy feel from the picture, I layered a 4x6 journaling card with a Castaway clear sheet behind the picture.

Products Treasure Island collection: Ship Deck Crumbles paper | Treasure Map paper | Wildcat Coast/Red vellum | Wild Coast/Navy vellum | Salty Sea/Red vellum | Castaway River/Black clear | Coast Line 4x6 cards | Bingo Cards Ocean Blue | Let's Go Phrase Strips | Stickers Adventure watercolor | Orange Parrot confetti | Mini Word Mermaid Beach | Stickers Tiny ABC grey
