A mother's love

Last week I reveived my package from SODAlicious. It was the very first time I ordered some SODAlicious and I lowe scrap products and they are just simply fabulous! I started creating a layout the same night.
This time I wanted to make a very special layout, for the 2 most special girls in my life, about their special love for each other. Angela, you're the best mommy my little girlfriend can wish for and all I can say is that I love you both with all my heart!

I lowe scrap Summer Dreamer collection.

Use it Tuesday Challenge #40

It is the 4th Tuesday of the month, so it is time for another challenge at Use it Tuesday!

The challenge is: Use your scraps! If you are like me, you don't throw away any piece of paper, even if they are really small. Now it is the time you use all your hoarded scraps!

***REMEMBER: All of our challenges call for you to use your hoarded supplies! A challenge requirement is to tell us in your post what you used!***
For this layout I grabbed my MME scraps. I had a lot of them from different older collections and mixed them up on this layout.

Please link your creation using Inlinkz by Friday October 5th on the Use it Tuesday blog. Please make sure to mention you are playing along with a Use it Tuesday challenge (a link is great too!) so we know you are participating.

As always, one lucky participant will be randomly chosen to be a featured guest designer in an upcoming challenge!

Have a look at Use it Tuesday to see what the other DT members created and please leave them some love!

Thanks for stopping by and have a wonderful day!

Busy Lady

When I had Phiene over last weekend, she got her very own cell phone with a kids menu. She is totally crazy about that thing and playing she's on the phone all the time. During the day I took some photo's of her when she was talking to her mom or some imaginary friend :-)

I had to make a layout out of those photos. Again I played with my Gossamer Blue kit, I'm in love with this kit! This time I took out the Heidi Swapp Sugar Chic and Lily Bee papers and the Lily Bee index cards. I spend some good time with my Silhouette Cameo too!

I decided to make some cuts into the chevron paper to tuck the photos behind it. Really loving the effect of it!

Heidi Swapp: Sugar Chic-Sparkle, Sugar Chic-Beautiful.
Lily Bee Design: Handmade Pink Lemonade, Double Dutch Index Journaling Cards, Buttercup ABC Stickers.
Washi tape 'date'.
Kaisercraft stamp
Archival ink Jet Black
EK Success border punch
Silhouette Cameo

At the beach

Today I took out the add-on kit of Gossamer Blue, which was filled with Pretty Little Studio, Sand Castle. This collection is so so so super cute with those soft tones and many fun embellishements it comes with. With a collection called Sand castle, you (of course) have to come up with some beach photo's.
Last May I took Phiene for a fun day at the beach. She can play in the sand for hours, even though it was really hot that day!

Here's my layout.

Pretty Little Studio, Sand Castle: Coral paper, Sea Shells paper, Castle Flags, Shipping Tags, Stencil Flashcard, Sand Dollar Sticker, Bingo Card, Bookmark Tags, Beach Word Stickers, Word Flashcards.
Bazzill: white, kraft.
Stamp: Lawn Fawn Chevron Backdrops.
Ink: Hero Arts Shadow Ink Soft Sand.

August kit Gossamer Blue

I hope you're all having a fabulous weekend! Mine is pretty good so far. Friday I had a day off and I went to a scrapping event in a small town nearby. The best part of that was that I met my scrappy friend Monique Liedtke IRL for the very first time. She's such a sweetie and we've had a blast!

From Friday night until Saterday night I had Phiene over, and that's just a tiny bit exhausting.....LOL She's out of the diapers now and that definitely is a good thing (changing them is not my favorite thing to do...), but she still is in a tricky phase! She really got me during her afternoon nap, she called me that she had to go, so I sat her on the toilet. She laughed to me and said: 'kidding'! That was her way to get out of bed.... She's turning 3 in a week and already that smart!

She found some 3D glasses, I didn't even remember having them, and wanted me to wear them too. Of course we had to snap this moment and the following picture came out of it.

I used my August main kit from Gossamer Blue. These kits are a lot of fun, they've been put together so well and they are filled with the newest scrap goodies. For example, I love those color magic banners by Heidi Swapp. Just simply mist them and the pattern shows up!

Lily Bee: pp Stationary Linen, pp Handmade Pink Lemonade, Double Dutch Index Journaling Cards, Buttercup ABC stickers.
Heidi Swapp: Color Magic Banner, Memory File Color Lable, PNG-file enjoy.
Prima Marketing Inc.: pp Alla-Prima Ferrulle.
Bazzill: white and mustard.
Stamps: KaiserCraft Grid pattern, Lawn Fawn Chevron Backdrops, SC arrows, 'what she said' stamp.
Ink: Archival Jet Black, Distress Ink Scattered Straw.
Mist: Mister Huey's Pin Stripe.
Silhouette Cameo

Thanks for stopping by and enjoy the rest of your weekend!

Use it Tuesday challenge #39

It is the 2th Tuesday of the month, so it is time for another challenge at Use it Tuesday!

The challenge is: Anything goes!  So anything you come up with is ok, it can be an old collection or a technique that you haven't used for a while.

***REMEMBER: All of our challenges call for you to use your hoarded supplies! A challenge requirement is to tell us in your post what you used!***

I chose to use a stamping technique. I have lots of stamps but don't use them that often. For this card I did a resist stamping technique with versamark. I learned this one at an online class by Jennifer McGuire.

A little tutorial how I stamped the glossy paper: I used the Hero Arts Large Lotus Cling stamp and inked it with Versamark. Then I inked a Reflection script stamp by Tim Holtz with walnut stain distress ink and stamped this one on the Large Lotus stamp. Yes that's rigth, you stamp one stamp on another one :-) Then you stamp the Large Lotus stamp on the glossy paper. Dry the glossy paper with a heatgun. When it is completely dry, rub a distress ink pad (I used Victorian Velvet) all over the glossy paper and wipe it quickly off with a paper towel and there it is :-)

I used a white card by Hero Arts and embossed it. On top of that I placed a piece of kraft cardstock and on top of that the stamped piece of glossy paper. I made the sentiment with my Cameo and the buttons and twine came out of my stash.

Please link your creation using Inlinkz by Friday September 21st on the Use it Tuesday blog. Please make sure to mention you are playing along with a Use it Tuesday challenge (a link is great too!) so we know you are participating.
As always, one lucky participant will be randomly chosen to be a featured guest designer in an upcoming challenge!

Nook tribute

It was really sad to hear that My Scrapbook Nook is closing their business on October 1st. I've had so much fun overthere, enjoyed their gorgeous monthly kits and made wonderful friends from all over the world. Hopefully we are able to keep in touch with each other!

For this last month the Nook members were given the chance to write a guest post for their blog with your thoughts and sharing your favorite projects made with the Nook kits.

Today my Nook tribute is up at their blog and I would love if you stop by overthere!
