Hero Arts August kit

Hi everyone!

Today I'm sharing four cards that I've made with the Hero Arts August kit. This kit came with a stamp set that is all about chilling and relaxing, which is perfect for the type of cards I make. On top of that there's a 'Greetings from' die in it, that goes really well with my Saba cards for tourists.

For the first card I combined the kit stamps with the HeroScape Beach set and Color Layering Mountains at the Lake set.

For the second card I created a background with the Sizzix Palm embossing folder and Distress Oxide Inks. The sentiment is made with the Altenew/Pinkfresh Studio Celebrate Us set.

I kept the third card pretty simple by just blending the background with Distress Oxide Inks and creating a relaxing scene.

For the fourth card I created a beach with Hero Arts Sand Embossing Powder and a sunset scene with Distress Oxide Inks and the Lawn Fawn Palm frame die.

Thank you for stopping by and have a great day!

Paper Issues - Scraplift Sunday

Happy Sunday everyone!

Today I played along with Scraplift Sunday at Paper Issues and this week we are lifting a fabulous layout by Laurie. I made the layout during a LIVE in the Paper Issues Friends & Fans Facebook group, if you missed it you can watch the replay here.

For my take I used the gorgeous Cocoa Vanilla Studio Daydream collection, there is still some in the shop but when it's gone, it is gone! I created the background with Distress Oxide Inks (Spun Sugar, Abandoned Coral, Mustard Seed and Hickory Smoke) and splattered it with Dina Wakly Gilt Gloss Spray. Then I stamped the background with the grid stamp from the Elle's Studio Highlights From stamp set with black ink and the Nested Chevron stamp from Pinkfresh Studio with Distress Ink Speckled Egg.

Don't forget to use code DANIELLE for 20% off everything in the Paper Issues shop!!

Thank you for stopping by and enjoy the rest of your Sunday!

Hero Arts Color Layering and HeroScape cards

Hi everyone,

Today I have some cards to share with you. Lately I've been falling in love with the Hero Arts Color Layering stamps and the HeroScapes, it's amazing what wonderful scenes you can create!

The first card is made with the Color Layering Palm Tree set. I created a sunset background by blending Distress Oxide Inks and the beach is made with Hero Arts Sand Embossing powder. The inks I used for the palm trees are all by Hero Arts as well: soft brown, cup o Joe, pool party and blue raspberry. I cut the hammock out of black card stock.

The next few cards are all made with the Beach HeroScape and Color Layering Mountains at the Lake sets. I gasped a little when I saw the mountains set. I know they are inspired by an Australian scene, but they perfectly resemble Saba, this little rock I'm living on. The small tall rock looks exactly like Diamond Rock that is located a little off the shore here. Along with the Beach HeroScape I'm able to create the perfect Saba scene on a card.
I created a couple of them with mixing different colors for the ocean (pool party, blue raspberry, splash, aquatic and navy) and using soft brown and cup o Joe for the mountains and rock. The little beach areas are made with Sand Embossing Powder.

Thank you for stopping by and have a great day!

Paper Issues - Danielle Does It LIVE challenge

Hello everyone!

It's already time for a new LIVE challenge at Paper Issues! This month I'm challenging you to use tags and/or labels on your layout. We all have tons of them and never use them up, so now is your chance to use a lot of them! If you missed the LIVE, you can watch the replay here.

For my layout I used all Elle's Studio products. They always have lots of labels in their collections in all the gorgeous colors, so I decided to make a rainbow pattern with them on my page and add puffy hearts in rainbow colors to complete the theme. The papers are from their TN Travel kit from last year and the stamps are from their Everyday Tab stamp set.

I can't wait to see what you all will create with labels and tags!
