Hero Arts - July Release Summer by the Shore

Hi friends!

I'm back with some more inspiration for the new Hero Arts Summer by the Shore collection and you can shop this collection HERE. If you missed my first cards, you can find them HEREHERE and HERE.

For this card I used the Scattered Shells Letterpress & Foil Plate with a blue foil on Hero Hues Arctic Premium Cardstock

I die cut some of the Sophisticated Shells Etched Dies out of a heavy white card stock and didn't color them so they would stand out more against the foiled background. The Banner Days Stamp & Cut set is a great sentiment set for a variety of occasions. I used Gold Embossing Powder for my sentiment on this card. The perfect finishing touch are the Translucent Seaglass Hero Hues Enamel Dots that perfectly match the foiling.

Thank you for stopping by and have a creative week!

Hero Arts - July Release

Hi friends!

There are four new amazing collections by Hero Arts available and you can shop them HERE. If you missed my first cards I created with the Summer by the Shore collection, you can find them HERE and HERE.

Today I'm sharing a birthday card I created with this collection and I used the negative foil print of the Scattered Shells Letterpress & Foil Plate with a gold foil.

Then I die cut some pieces of the Message in a Bottle Etched Dies out of a white heavy cardstock. Every piece is ink blended with Core Inks. With the Banner Days Stamp & Cut set you can choose from a variety of sentiments to add to your card. This card needed a bit more sentiment-action, so I added the Hello There die cut from the Hello There Stamp & Cut set, which I inked up with Paradise Core Ink and then stamped with an older Cling stamp and Unicorn Pigment Ink.

The perfect finishing touch are the Translucent Pinks Hero Hues Enamel Dots.

Thank you for stopping by and enjoy your weekend!

Hero Arts - July release Summer by the Shore

Hi there!

Did you see the new Hero Arts July release? There are four new amazing collections and you can shop them HERE. If you missed my first card I created with the Summer by the Shore collection, you can find it HERE.

Today I'm sharing another card I created with this collection and this one is a birthday card. I started with a sheet of Peony cardstock, the Scattered Shells Letterpress & Foil Plate and a pink foil to create a tone-on-tone look.

Then I die cut all the pieces of the Message in a Bottle Etched Dies out of a white heavy cardstock. Every piece is ink blended with Core Inks. I also added two shells from the Sophisticated Shells Etched Dies. With the Banner Days Stamp & Cut set you can choose from a variety of sentiments to add to the bottle. I trimmed the foiled cardstock a little smaller than an A2 card size and adhered it to an Arctic card base.

I'll be back soon with some more cards I created with this collection.

Thank you for stopping by and have a great day!

Hero Arts - July release Summer by the Shore

Hi friends,

The new Hero Arts July collections are available today and you don't want to miss these! One of the new releases is Summer by the Shore and this collection is right up this island girl's alley. Find out more about the other three new collections at the end of this post.

The first card I'm sharing is a wedding card. I started gold foiling my card front with the Scattered Shells Letterpress & Foil Plate. Then I inked the background with Core Inks Soft Blossom and Mist. The colors are very faded towards the middle as I didn't want them to blend.

I die cut some of the Sophisticated Shells Etched Dies out of a heavy white card stock and didn't color them to create a classy and elegant look. The Banner Days Stamp & Cut set is a great sentiment set for a variety of occasions. I used Copper Embossing Powder for my sentiment on this card. The perfect finishing touch are the Translucent Pinks Hero Hues Enamel Dots.

I created a couple more cards with this collection and I'll share those with you in the next few days.

There are three more new collections for this month, click on the images to check them out. The beauty of July is having both Summer and Christmas themes, my favorites to create with!

I hope you're enjoying these new releases and can't wait to see what you'll create with them!

Thank you for stopping by and have a great Sunday!

DT Stay Crafty with A Blog Named Hero challenge

Hi friends,

I'm back with another card for this month's Stay Crafty with A Blog Named Hero challenge: create a card for a friend.

This time I went for a clean and simple design but by using foil, it turned out very classy.

I started with a sheet of Hero Hues Pesto card stock and used the Floral Frame Letterpress & Foil Plate on it with gold foil. Inside the frame I added the word 'Hello' from the Hello & Thank You Betterpress & Foil Plates. The 'my friend' part of the sentiment comes from an older stamp set and I heat embossed it with gold embossing powder.

The adorable bird is from the Branches & Blossoms Die Set and I ink blended it with Core Inks. To give the bird a little more dimension I die cut it out of Hero Hues Pitch Black card stock as well and offset it a little behind the colored bird. Last but not least I added a few Translucent Pinks Hero Hues Enamel Dots,

DT Stay Crafty with A Blog Named Hero challenge

Hello friends,

It's time for a new Stay Crafty with a Blog Named Hero challenge! This month the focus is on friendship and we ask you to create a card for a friend for a chance to win a $50 gift card to the Hero Arts store.

For my card I played with some mixed media. I first ink blended a card panel with Plum Core Ink and applied this same color a little heavier with the Asana Pattern stencil. Then I lightly added an older Cling stamp with Unicorn Pigment Ink. You can use any kind of cling stamp that you have on hand, preferably a more graphic design rather than an image.

I created a similar panel with Aegean Core Ink (the details are better visible in person) and die cut the 'friend' sentiment out of it. The sentiment is from the Smile Friend Stamp & Cut XL set.

The Translucent Seaglass Enamel Dots are a gorgeous detail you can add to your cards and they are available in a variety of colors.

We can't wait to see what you will create!

Thank you for stopping by and have a great day.
