DT Use it Tuesday - Challenge #47

A new term at Use it Tuesday has started for me and today the new team is up with the first challenge.

The new challenge is: Make it Sparkle!

***REMEMBER: All of our challenges call for you to use your hoarded supplies! A challenge requirement is to tell us in your post what you used!***

This was a hard one for me, I'm not really into things sparkle, glitter and bling. But I found some sparkly things in my stash. I started with a Glimmer mist, I've a few of them but never use them, to create the background for my card. Also I found some silver washi tape that I have for a while and some small gems. The scraps of paper are from Sassafras.
This is the card I came up with

Now it is your turn to show us some sparkle. Link up your project on the Use it Tuesday blog for your chance to be our guest designer at one of our upcoming challenges!

Boys giggle too

Today I'm sharing another layout with the Gossamer Blue December kit, for this one I used the Simple Stories Sn@p collection. There was so much of this collection in this kit, that I find it hard to pick what to use on this page, just wanted to use it all!

I went for this photo of baby Jan because it's such a happy photo that fits the bright colors of Sn@p perfectly. Doesn't this boy have the most amazing smile? He can really giggle and I love those dimples in his cheeks.

DT Practical Scrappers - Layout sketch

Today my first project for Practical Scrappers is up. Me and some of the other girls of the On Trend Team made a layout based on this sketch:

I decided to go with some I {lowe} Scrap and SODAlicious for this layout, because the soft colors go really well with these photos. Phiene loves to dance with her grandpa while he is singing with his choir. I managed to get some photos of them, even though Phiene was in her 'I don't want pictures'-mood...

This is my take on the sketch

I {lowe} Scrap: Tis the Season 03, Tis the Season 04, Summer Dreamer 01, Summer Dreamer 02
SODAlicious chipboard letters and triangles
Bazzill white
Silhouette Cameo: polaroid frame, SC heart, Calli Hand font
Handstitching

Check out the Practical Scrappers blog to see what my fellow DT members made with this sketch. And of course we would love to see what you will do with this sketch, so please share your layout with us on the Practical Scrappers Facebook page.

Thanks for stopping by and have a wonderful day!

So lovely

Hopefully you've had a fun New Year's Eve and had a chance to relax a little yesterday. I've spend the first day of the year scrapping and today I will share one of the layouts I've made.

I made this one for a challenge at Let's Get Sketchy: not so picture perfect. I think many of us have pictures we really love, but the quality of the photo is not good enough. For this challenge you can use these photos!

The photo I used, is one that is way too cute, but it's too dark (taken into the light) and a little blurry. Sometimes you just want to capture a moment and you don't have the time to check if the light is ok and no one is moving. Especially with kids this happens a lot, but it doesn't mean that the picture hasn't a story to tell or isn't meaningful. I love this moment where Phiene is sharing her fruit with her little brother.

I used the Gossamer Blue December kit and some Chic Tags and wood veneer that came in a RAK by my sweet friend Sherri.

Silhouette Cameo: Lori Whitlock title, SC title
