AECP - Impressive Heat Embossing

Hi everyone!

I have another card to share for the AECP Impressive Heat Embossing class and this time I made a clean and simple card design with the focus on the heat embossing.

For the background I applied Dew Drops Crisp Dye Ink to my craft mat, added water to it and dragged the card stock through it. I dried this layer and repeated the same thing a couple of times. Then I went in with a blending brush and Volcano Lake Crisp Dye Ink to create some more dimension in the background.

I die cut a smaller rectangle of vellum and white heat embossed a sentiment from the Super Script stamp set on it. To attach the vellum to the background, I added glue on the back where the embossing is and a few spots where I later added translucent baubles.

Thank you for stopping by and have a great day!

AECP - Creative Watercolor Media

Hi everyone!

I'm back with another AECP card and this time it's for the Creative Watercolor Media class and decided to use watercolor techniques with the Crisp Dye Inks

For the background I used the smooshing technique by applying Crisp Dye Inks from the Cerulean Skies set to a sheet of acetate and add water to it. Then you press the sheet with ink on your card stock, dry the ink layer and repeat this a couple of times. To give the background more texture, I used the Dotted Scales Debossing die.

I gold heat embossed the outline stamps of the flower and leaves from the Fresh Bloom set and fussy cut them. I applied Pinkalicious and Marshland Crisp Dye Ink on my craft mat and used a watercolor brush to watercolor the flowers and leaves. I created a bouquet on the background, added glitter to the centers of the flowers and some gold watercolor splatters. I finished the card with a sentiment from the Fresh Bloom set and added some teal gems.

Thank you for stopping by and have a great day!

AECP - Polychromatic

Hi everyone!

Today I'm back with a card for the AECP Polychromatic class. I decided to make a card a card based on the Monochromatic lesson.

I started creating a border on the left with Alcohol Inks Hazelnut, Vanilla Cream and Maple Yellow. Then I stamped some of the Painted Butterflies with Warm Sunshine and Caramel Toffee from the Summer Afternoon Crisp Dye Inks mini cubes set. I finished the card with Gold Watercolor splatters, a sentiment and some gold bauble embellishments.

Than you for stopping by and have a great day!

AECP - Color Your Day

Hi everyone!

Today I'm sharing a card that I made for the AECP Color Your Day class. I loved the ombré stamping technique showed in one of the lessons, so I wanted to give that a try.

To create the background I only used the second layer from the Regal Beauty stamp set. I partially inked it with Volcano Lake Crisp Dye Ink and partially with Teal Cave Crisp Dye Ink, both from the Cerulean Skies mini cubes set, and stamped it multiple times to create an ombré background.

I stamped all layers of this flower with Cerulean Skies Crisp Dye Inks and die cut it. I did the same with the leaves of this set and Gentleman's Gray Crisp Dye Inks and created a bouquet that I added to the background. All the leaves are glued and the flower is on foam tape for some dimension.

The sentiment comes from the same stamp set. I stamped it with black ink and then heat embossed it with Crystal Clear Crisp Embossing Powder. I prefer this way over using black embossing powder, as that often gets messy. As a finishing touch I added some clear acrylic drops.

Thank you for stopping by and have a creative Sunday!
